 Deutsche Grove GmbH in
Wilhelmshaven build large self drive cranes which have wheels mounted on large hydraulic
struts. The assembly of these units is difficult, time consuming and can be dangerous
which prompted the order of a specially constructed handling machine from GRUSE in Aerzen.This machine is used to position the strut unit to aid assembly of the hub, suspension unit, drive shaft, steering link, fitting of the oil sight glass and the filling of oil. This help relieve the load on the mechanic by reducing assembly time but at the same time increasing the quality. The result is a tipping machine that holds the strut securely in a clamp and can be held at any position between 0 - 90°, which allows the mechanic to find the ideal position for each job.
