 Building an aeroplane, especially a
passenger liner is no easy task. The massive dimensions of the hull require matching work
platforms to bring man, material and tools to the necessary working height.Massive lifting tables are required to enable the riveting of the hull using hand rivet machines. The table is equipped with 1000mm wide extendable platforms which enable the platform to be tailored to suit the curves of the hull. The hull work station consists of a drivable platform with a stationary lifting table. The platform has a length of 12.4m and a loading capacity of 4t and an end height of 3.4m. The photo shows the massive dimensions when compared to the man standing below the table.
